Description

This is how the workshop is structured

Step 1. (week 1.) Reset

Whether you make portraits or not you will have a perception of what a portrait should be and how it should be produced. This has to be removed and reset.

Exploring and collecting portraits

Discussions, video and 1 to 1 where possible

Mindset preparation

Step 2.  (week 2.) Being fearless

The fear of getting it wrong, the fear of not meeting a standard, the fear of someone judging what you do can have a debilitating effect on your work.

We have to change that.

Exercises to encourage you to let go and embrace what happens

Demonstrations and support materials

Step 3. (week 3.) Seeing

Not only do you need to see, you must be able to recognise what’s important and the relationships between these elements.

Explaining the dot method and advanced relational techniques

Demonstrations and support materials

Step 4. (week 4.) Response

As an artist your response to the world is unique to you. Responding to another human is a skill you already have. Now it’s time to use it to make great portraits.

Plus a library f references to work from

I will also do live updates each week with a summary and feedback to your questions. Send me your portraits after step 4. and I will do group feedback.
